A stylised procedural generation of planets
Project realized during the second semester of the Master 1 Computer Science in the Teaching Unit “Programming Project” with 5 programmers.
The goal was to simulate a customer request on a precise subject, here to generate a stylised procedural planet.
I was in charge of the blender case study, the random and noise theory, their implementation, the user parameterization and the performance tests.
For more details about the exact implementation read there the report done in french: rapport.pdf
The first experience with a “client”, with unclear expectations. Because of that, the design choices were hard to make, for instance the biome system, or hard to priorityze and split the tasks inside the team.
