  • Developed C#/C++ test tools for automatic testing in the Anvil proprietary engine across multiple productions and platforms
  • Built bot framework for performance analysis and benchmarking
  • Designed data edition and preparation pipelines for test environments
  • Conducted workflow research and experimentation to optimize development pipelines
  • Collaborated with cross-functional production teams on tooling

Internship (2023-03 to 2023-09)

  • Learned AAA game development tools and methods in Ubisoft’s Performance & Profiling team
  • Contributed to Anvil engine tooling infrastructure (under NDA)
  • Participated in internal testing and performance analysis workflows
  • Supported multiple production titles with custom tooling solutions

Highlights

Working on Anvil—one of the industry’s most sophisticated proprietary engines—was humbling and instructive. The Performance & Profiling team operates at the intersection of engine architecture and production constraints. Smooth transition from internship to fixed-term contract validated technical contributions and proved readiness for professional-level work.

What I Learned / Personal Conclusion

Internship into CDD transition showed importance of proving value early and being adaptable. Performance profiling and optimization aren’t black magic—they require systematic measurement, hypothesis testing, and iteration. Perforce (over Git) revealed workflow differences in massive teams and scale-specific tooling challenges.
